What the app does not do

• No account, no sign-up, no e-mail asked.
• No location: you pick your spots, the app never asks for your position.
• No ads, no data resale, no third-party trackers.

What the app does

Forecasts. To show swell, wind and weather, the app requests a spot's forecast from our gateway (Cloudflare Workers), which queries Open-Meteo. The request contains the spot's identifier, not your location or identity. Cloudflare's technical logs (IP address, timestamp) are kept a few days at most, for security.

Rating a verdict. On a spot page you can say whether the verdict was right or off, and why. It's voluntary. The message contains: a random identifier created at install (it points to neither you, your phone nor your Apple account), the spot, the day, the verdict, your answers, the day's numbers (swell, wind, coefficient) and your surf profile (craft, level, max size, taste). Never a location, never an e-mail. These ratings are used only to fix a spot's data.

Requesting a spot. The "My spot isn't there" form sends us the spot's name, your landmarks, the pin if you drop one, and your e-mail, only so we can reply about that spot. It is kept with the request, never used for anything else, and deleted on request.

Secret spots (paid option). Your spots are stored on your phone only. For the forecast, the app sends our gateway the coordinates rounded to a cell of about 1 km, with no name or identifier. The purchase is handled by Apple; we receive no information about you.

Usage statistics. None. This version of the app contains no analytics and no trackers: nothing leaves your phone except the forecast request described above. If we ever add usage measurement, it will be anonymous, switchable off in one tap in Settings, and announced here.

This site. It uses no cookies and no audience measurement.
